When I attended the Friday Night Corpus Christi I felt it created a positive and uplifting atmosphere.  I believe it was extremely healthy for Corpus Christi to experience the overall constructive attitude that this function contributed and resonated throughout our community.

 Mayor Henry Garrett

Thank you for inviting me to the Friday Night Corpus Christi gathering.  It was a beautiful evening.  It was amazing to see such a diverse group worshiping and praising the Lord together.  The unity shown that evening is a great example to our community.  By working together, we can make Corpus Christi a wonderful community.  Bishop Carmody's address inspired me and made me feel good about the future of our city.  Thank you for your prayers.

Did you all notice something about the sound when all the ministers were praying for each other?  I have never noticed this before, but it was very unique.  You would think it would sound like any large crowd where everybody is talking at once, but it didn't sound like that at all.  It made me think of the verses in Daniel and Rev, where they talk about a multitude of voices.  The music, the worshipful atmosphere and the multitude were like a taste of heaven.  It doesn't get much better than that.

Da 10:6 - His body was like chrysolite, his face like lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and his voice like the sound of a multitude.
Re 7:9 - After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.
Re 19:1 - After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting: "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,

Last Friday Night Corpus Christi was a proof of what God is doing in our community through love, hope and unity in Jesus Christ.
This is a new season for Corpus Christi .

Last Friday night was a historic event for our city.  It truly touched my heart to see all the churches come together

to pray for the leadership of our community.  May we continue to work together with love and forgiveness to move this city forward.

What an extraordinary evening I experienced at Friday Night Corpus Christi .  I know we have been praying for all believers in Christ in our community to come together in the love of God, but only He could show the blessing of His purpose!

Friday Night Corpus Christi was exciting!  God showed up and I was thankful for the opportunity to worship Him alongside the many leaders of this great city.  My prayer is that we were all refreshed and will be led by God Almighty as we return to our positions of service to this great community.

" A glimpse of Heaven" is the best way I could describe Friday Night Corpus Christi this past Friday. What an amazing display of the Holy Spirit uniting the different denominations of Corpus Christi, not to mention the different races and ethnic groups, "all Christians" all for HIS GLORY!   We are all one in Christ, Praise God!

The stories told, the praise service, praying for our leaders of the community, brought tears to my eyes as I experienced God's love for us all.
The beauty of all of us worshipping and praising GOD was something to behold, I encourage everyone to attend and support Friday Night Corpus Christi !

I believe the importance of the Friday Night Corpus Christi experience is best summarized in a quote from the Ecumenism talk given on the first night of a Journey to Damascus Weekend.  "There is only one God and we all worship Him.  Some of us use symbols and liturgy unfamiliar to others of us.  We should not let these differences define our walk with Christ.  Rather let them enrich the depth and diversity of our experience."

May God look favorably on this communion of hearts.      Rev. Ralph Willis

The entire program was dynamic. It was inspirational, insightful, and harmonious. People from all walks of
life came together in spite of backgrounds, occupations, dispositions, or church affiliation under
one banner in full support of making our city worthy of its name, "Body of Christ". I support Friday Night
Corpus Christi , and I look forward to the next program.

Friday Night Corpus Christi was like being in heaven.  In fact, I considered it a rehearsal fro heaven.  It was the Body of Christ gathered together with one voice exalting and praising Jesus Christ.  I thought about Romans 15:5  May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Jesus Christi, so that with one heart and voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit because I was overwhelmed with the sense that the Father was pleased with what was going on and that the Holy Spirit was rejoicing with what was going on because the Son was being honored by us all.  I look forward to next year when we can do it again.  It was awesome to see all the pastors praying for our leaders.

Friday Night was incredible!

God gave me an assignment in January of 1986....."Pray for revival in Corpus Christ!" I have done so. At times, it felt a little lonely! The last few years have been more and more encouraging!

My husband (now Home with Jesus) and I  came to Corpus Christi in 1981, with a great sense of a call to be here. We arrived in Corpus Christi , from Liberia , West Africa , where we were missionaries, and had come back to the States because of the needs of our teenage son. This has been a place of great blessings! Once, while working in the 90's, I was complaining to the Lord, " Lord, I am a missionary! What am I doing working here???"  The response was, "You are a missionary anyplace I call you to be!" I got the message!

I had to smile as you told that incredible story of your days as a missionary in Russia , about Igor meeting God in his grandmother's Bible. I thought, "Well, God, you have another missionary on assignment in Corpus Christi !"  What an incredible job you are doing, for in unity The Body of Christ, called together in a city by the same name, and we will see God's Kingdom come, His will be done! I am praying and believing for a 100% harvest of souls in Corpus Christi and 100 miles radius. We are told in Peter that it is God's desire "that NONE should perish" and that is my passion! Another admonition, "You have not because you ask not!"

God bless you for your faithfulness, Scotty!
In Jesus Love!

How awesome it is to see the BODY of Christ together worshipping and asking the Kingdom of Heaven to come to Corpus Christi !  I praise God for the courage and vision of Scotty; for the church leaders who got up to take stand on that solid ground; and for our City leaders who still believe that God reigns.  I see a new day in Corpus Christi, a day of unity and hope and power in Jesus!
